Simple answer yes for the difference in cost. The V10 is amazing improvement on the V8. But the V11 is improvement on the V10 and is the Ultimate! The Main difference between the V10 and the V11 is the Battery Pack and the LCD screen on the V11.

Dyson is said to increased suction force on the V11 to give 20% more than the V10. The V10 has a 2.6AH Battery. The V11 has a 3.6AH Battery. The V11 Has a Cool LCD display where you pick which power mode you want, Low/Medium/Boost(high).

The V11 Tells you how much time you have left on each power setting which is very handy in minutes and seconds. The V11 Tells you on the LCD when to clean the filter or if you have an airway blockage. The V11 uses a totally different dustbin and filter. The V11 Has the Ability to use the'AUTO floor sensing function' if you install the latest'torque drive head' however my opinion and experience with this please read on!

My experience with these units and my opinion is I really do not like the new torque drive motor head. What this is, is a 100 Watt Carpet cleaning head in a fresh design which works with the V11 LCD and allows you to use AUTO floor sensing function. But I have found this to be very annoying reasons below.

There is a delay in the powerup of the cleaner head as its working out what todo. The V8/V10 Carpet head is 50 Watt and does super job, why make a 100 Watt one which chews battery more?? Unless you has brush jamming all the time which I never did! I personally do not understand the benefit as I have used with both the V8/V10 head and the new V11 Torque Drive head.

As mentioned above you get less battery life if you use the new 100 Watt torque drive head. Its drawing 100 Watts instead of the 50 Watts from the previous V8/V10 Version. Personally, I hate the Auto function changing the power level of the head as you go over different floor surfaces. I just like the simple low/medium/high(boost) function which you have if you plug in the V10 50-Watt carpet head. You can see my conclusion on the matter above, IMO just use your V8 / V10 50-Watt carpet head, its not worth the extra expense for the latest torque drive head. IMO They have tried to be too smart with it, crikey its not hard to select the power level you want and leave it on that setting rather than the AUTO one jumping around depending on what surface level you are on..

When I was using it I was like great Ive got 40 minutes of power starting on hard floor surface then you go onto carpet and it increases the power level and the timer drops down to 20 minutes it is more irritating than helpful. I had a few choice words with it to be fair! Having the LCD display tell you how much battery life you have left is really useful. But because the Auto function changes the power level automatically depending on the floor type its working on , the timer is jumping all over the place.

It is so much better to just plug in the v8/v10 50 Watt carpet head, vacuum away and it tells you how much time you have left on the power setting you have selected. Using the V11 with the 50 Watt V8/V10 Carpet cleaning head, on medium power setting which is plenty of power, have between 25 and 35 minutes of battery power depending on the floor surface/resistance which is amazing. This will easy clean a BIG house one 1 charge.

12-16 minutes on the highest power level (boost) which is very powerful but great for car cleaning also. CHECK OUT MY OTHER LISTINGS IF YOU REQUIRE SPARE PARTS LIKE WALL MOUNT / FILTERS / CLEANER HEADS ETC.
